Valkyria Chronicles- mostly I got into this alternate-European war with anime chicks because it's based on a videogame (that I also have). While I haven't been able to play the actual game too much, I've watched several episodes of the show. I really should get into this more.
Tears to Tiara- MAN I can't figure out why, but I find myself looking forward to every new episode of this otherwise mediocre title. Yet another game-based title (the original game was actually a bit of a hentai title, I think), this RPG-esque fable is all about a fallen angel/hero leading some rebels against an 'evil' empire. The characters are your usual anime archetypes, the action is well-animated but the heroes never really seem to be in any danger ever (all the enemies are wimpy faceless peons) and some of the characters act pretty stupid some times. However, I just want to see this through to the end. Weird...
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood- my current Anime Cocaine. Man, I LOVE this show. It's so much better than the first anime FMA, and the characterizations, drama, action, voice-acting and animation are top notch. Highly recommended to everyone and their mother.
Hayate the Combat Butler- my guilty pleasure these days, thanks to Animax. All about the many misadventures of a poverty-stricken but ultracompetent youth who becomes the butler for a spoiled little rich girl, this title has wacky fourth wall-breaking humor, tons of cute anime babes, cool action and heartwarming emotion that makes you feel good inside after every episode. Strangely enough, this title's shown with the english dub on Animax and I have to say, the english VAs are pretty excellent.
Then there are a couple of other titles I still make a point to collect episodes of, even if I'm months behind in watching them- Bleach and Naruto Shippuden. Ah well, I'll get into these eventually. Anime watching is fuel for the budding Manga-ka, so better keep that tank well fed. Heheh...
